How long does it take to get experiences on an instrument for ourselves and our environment?

I mean, many years and many hours, and lots of practice – and do not start it, if you do not take it seriously, because that is not the way how to do it. Anyway, if you do not learn to love Bach or Brahms, I don’t even understand why you are here.
The truth it is, I think this is counterproductive. Of course, I consider Bach to be a fantastic author, a genius thinker – I would not like anyone to feel as if I meant anything else – he is one of the greatest. But the way of thinking that many people think about the world of music is not really rooted at Bach, and not even in principles, but in the fact that someone has the right to say what someone should love and what they should not.
And from this we can easily get there that we are not so much inclined to learn to play an instrument – since it is not possible to get to understand Bach within one or two weeks. We can still get impressions and experiences, and we can become more and more homely in the topic.
Answering the initial question of how long it takes to get there to find pleasure in playing the musical instrument: I recall an interesting experience that was extremely surprising for me. It happened that a dear acquaintance of mine said that he wanted to learn to play the piano and although he had sat in front of the instrument before, he could only play something with both hands with a long mechanical practice, training himself for weeks or months.
When we started working, continuing the thoughts of a great teacher of mine who I mentioned a lot, I asked her not to practice, just to play the piano. First easy pieces, always just until it succeeds, then move on – as long as you enjoy it.
I was shocked to hear that after 2 weeks (after a lot of complaints and annoyances) she was constantly, aligning her two hands in relatively complicated things, playing great from sheet – and she really enjoyed it. Of course, if she had to give a concert, she may not be ready, but she has acquired a skill that will accompany her throughout her life: the ability to read sheet music correctly at first sight-in addition to be able to play it alone any time, certainly later more exciting tasks as well.
Playing an instrument is quite simple!
On one hand, we may feel this way, because when a small child begins to learn to play a musical instrument, many times it doesn’t actually take a long time for him to learn to handle the instrument, but in the meantime he learns hundreds of complex abilities – from complex thinking to fine motor movements and expressing his emotions.
During the 4-6 years that the violin, the guitar or the piano sounds beautiful in his hands-in addition to learning to play the violin, he learns a thousand more things including capturing sounds at first in a strange, almost invisible pose, and in the meantime he should pay attention to his feet so that he does not fall.
On the other hand, it is also because in Hungary there are requirements in everything. Of course, not only in music, but here also. And while this is useful for professional education, same time it makes life so difficult for those who just want to play music.
If we constantly compare ourselves to a requirement – or let’s say a norm, which used to be a fashionable word – we can only come out of it at a loss. If we manage to complete it, we will be among the 90% who have already succeeded – and we will be one of many that does not give outstanding joy for us. And if we fail… I think everyone feels what it is like.

Getting someone to play the piano through Bach is just as good as doing it through the tune of Shrek, which is already popular for him. It is true that it would not be good for Bach to be left out of his life later, but is it sure that he would be able to accommodate it the best if we forced him to do so in the beginning?
Every musical instrument is different – like every human being is, thankfully. I cannot say it for sure, but I see that as an adult we already have had several skills that children can develop with the help of music. It is not unrealistic to expect that after 3-4 weeks, the person who comes to us will have the knowledge that give him experience and recharge.
