ImPulzus Children’s Play Camp 2023

In the summer of 2023, we will organize our ImPulzus Children’s Play music daily camps for elementary school children again, to which we warmly welcome kids and children as well between the age of 6-11.
This year’s special feature is that we are expecting children with a week of music camp in English too!
June 19 – June 23, 2023 – MUSIC CAMP IN ENGLISH!
Venue: ImPulzus, Budapest (76. Csengery street, Budapest, 1067)
July 10 – July 14, 2023
Venue: ImPulzus, Budapest (76. Csengery street, Budapest, 1067)
August 7 – August 11, 2023
Venue: Zenta Studio, Budapest (5. Zenta street, Budapest, 1111)
ImPulzus for children – musical entertainment while the parent can go on vacation :)
During the session, we develop children’s creativity and aesthetic sense as well as their movement with the help of folk songs and classical music. By incorporating the experience of joint singing, movement, and visual creation (drawing, painting, crafts), the participating children can be part of a unique experience.
- If you would like your child to spend a week in the middle of the summer with other laughing children, and if you would be happy if he could do all this while playing with a really valuable topic,
- If your goal is to make him like to play music, and maybe have someone to help you figure out which instrument would be right for him,
- Or if you just want a few days of free time for tasks to be done:
We warmly recommend Henrietta Csendes, Viola Pálfi and Laura Marton, as well as the leader of our English language camp, Joyce Lau.

“After the flute and the piano, I found the dulcimer in the 6th grade, so that in 2021 I graduated as a dulcimer teacher at the Ferenc Liszt University of Music. I am currently a dulcimer teacher at Fasang Árpád Zenei AMI and a solfège teacher at OWI Music School. Choir singing has been a part of my life since 2005, I have also performed in the MediCantare Girls’ Choir and the Budapest Lantos Choir. I was singing privately for a long time, but I have been doing jazz singing for several years. My main area of interest is the integration of alternative music pedagogical methodologies in education and the musical development of children with atypical development. I master the toolkit of alternative musical methodologies through continuous training, most recently the basics of Kokas pedagogy. Since 2022, I have been qualified as an atypical development specialist. In musical life, I spend most of my time playing the works of contemporary composers, with Mihály Kovács (dulcimer) as my permanent chamber partner.“

“I have almost ten years of teaching experience in Hong Kong, having served as a certified pedagogue at the Vienna Boys Choir Music Academy and for the Yamaha Junior Music Programme. As a choral conductor, church organist and music researcher, I have performed and/or gave lectures in Hong Kong, Beijing, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Ireland and Poland. In recent years, I have been undergoing specialized trainings in Kodály music pedagogy in Hungary. I believe that all-round musicianship is essential to one’s full enjoyment of music. I take a holistic approach to teaching, balancing between the process and the outcomes so that every tiny step can be life-enriching for my students.“

During the week of the camp, you should prepare for that we hold classes from 9 a.m. Monday to Friday, but we provide supervision from 8:30 a.m. We prepare lunch and snacks for the children on site, and we also provide the necessary conditions for afternoon rest. You can bring your favorite pillow, blanket, mascot, and if there is something that is still important when you are resting, you should also have it with you.
The program lasts until 5:00 p.m., so please come for them no later than 5:30 p.m.!
In the morning, we welcome the children with creative music sessions and instrument demonstrations, followed by lunch and a short quiet rest.
In the afternoon, we organize crafts, sports competitions, team competitions and outdoor programs.
Two teachers work with the children – as it is important to us that everyone gets enough attention.
Do you find it exciting?
Register as soon as possible – if you pay the camp fee during the Super Early Bird period,

FAQ
The feedback letter does not include the date we applied for. What shall I do?
No problem, for some reason the system does not display the selected time in the automatic feedback. Fortunately, it is mentioned in the message sent to us, so we can see which week you have signed up for, and we will also display it on the bill, where you can check it.
What shall we bring with ourselves?
Please make sure that your child has something to drink, sunscreen, a cap/hat, and a flute every day (we will provide an instrument for those who don’t have one, please let us know in advance)! It is not mandatory, but the child can bring: a tale-book, a favorite mascot / toy, watercolor paint, brushes, colored pencils (we provide tools for drawing and painting, but it is a big help for us if the selection is even bigger).
How can we pay?
After the application, we will send you a bank transfer invoice, which you can pay in one sum to the account number of the Hangkeltő Foundation.
We must cancel participation in the camp due to illness or other reasons. In this case, will we get the camp fee back?
If we have another date for the camp that would suit you, then contact us and let’s make some arrangements, because if we have free places, then participation in the camp can be rescheduled for another date!
If we cannot reschedule the application for another week, and the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the start of the camp, the camp fee will be fully refunded.
In case of cancellation within 30 days, we will refund the camp fee above HUF 10,000.
